Escape from daycare.
Often Pete has trouble letting go when we get to daycare. This morning Pete had a death grip on one leg. Another boy came over and grabbed the other leg.* A third boy came over and couldn't find room, so he just stood next to me and told me the names of the kids holding my legs. So I started walking around the table which usually gives the teacher a chance to distract Pete. It worked, and I slowed down and headed for the door. Which is when kid number 2 caught back up and re-attached himself to my leg. Diane was able to call him off without releasing Pete.
*As the teacher was commenting on how rare it was for a child to share a parent, she also mention that she has noticed Pete stringing sentences together. We've noticed that too, but didn't realize it was different.
