Tera and I were driving yesterday. Twice we saw a car go through a light that must have been red when they got to it, because our light had already turned green! We got to talking about the fact that you see that pretty often now days. It used to be that if you came to a light just as it turned yellow you'd hit the gas and maybe see a flash of red as you were passing under the light. It seems that it more and more people are deciding to hit the gas when the light turns red! I'm heard that in Florida they are encouraging people to count to five AFTER their light turns green before hitting the gas.
I now understand why they are installing the red light cameras to issue tickets.

here we have a program called orlando stops, they put up cameras and at each intersection with a camera (not all of them have them yet) they post a sign telling you this, and then there is another sign telling you the cost of running a red light, usually $262. why $262? no idea, but dustin was very irritated at this when he came to visit me this summer.
